Small works were packed with Tyvek® and stored Safebox® boxes.
These custom boxes were provided by EsLogisitica srl for the storing of small and medium format panels. In this way this solution simplified their transportation and facilitated their storage. A detailed database with Filemaker Pro was built to permit quick research of panel by author, box or image. Safeboxes® proved to be an effective solution to keep our work organized and safe. © images CNA/Roman Girtgen

A thin layer of barium sulfate and methylcellulose was applied to compensate the surface loss.
The surface damage is less visible in specular light but always notable at angled light.

After three years, in May 2013, the collection finally returned to its galleries, now completely renovated. Final inpainting were carried before the opening with correct lighting. Romain Girtgen © CNA.
